This is Amy
Amy Papola has a multi-disciplined decorative art background in appraisals, auctions, and collection management. She began at Sotheby’s New York in Arcade Decorations and later transferred to Sotheby’s Appraisal Company. She produced over 2,500 valuations for collections worldwide including the estates of Marlene Dietrich, Betsey Cushing Whitney, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
After 10 years, her knowledge of art objects expanded by joining the Trust and Estates Department at U.S. Trust Company of New York. At U.S. Trust she focused on the legal aspects of tangible personal property and estate administration. In 2004, Amy began appraising and auctioneering full-time.
Today, Amy brings more than twenty-five years of auction and appraisal knowledge to every project. She is currently the primary auctioneer for Auctions at Showplace NYC.

A 20 minute window wedged between video clips and honoree speeches. Twenty minutes to lead a live auction and pledge drive that determines if 12 months of planning will lead to a smashing financial success.
From pre-production meetings to the main event, Amy is an auctioneer committed to helping not-for-profit organizations achieve their fund raising goals both virtually and in-person.
Art and Object Auctions
Amy uses her experience as a cataloguer, registrar and bidder to ensure her auctions are smooth, efficient, and fun. Both online and in-person Amy’s auctions are fair, inclusive, and compliant with New York commercial codes.
Appraisals
Amy is a generalist appraiser for fine art, furniture, decorative art and household objects. Collectors, estates, fiduciaries, heirs, attorneys and accountants have all turned to her expertise to assign fair market value to tangible property for sales, collection management and insurance administration.
Amy’s appraisal work is in full compliance with Appraisal Standards Board and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice methods and techniques.
